|
To select an item on the menu, move the highlighted bar to the item required. When the menu is initially displayed, the first item on the menu is highlighted. Press Enter to select the highlighted item. |

To move the highlighted bar, use the arrows on your keyboard together, in certain instances, with the key. You must use the key together with the left and right arrows, but the up and down arrows move the highlighted bar when used without the key. |

Another way of selecting items is to enter the first letter or character of the description. For example, entering M selects the Menus parameter, entering 8 will select the 8?column Report Writer parameters. If, however, more than one item in the menu starts with the same letter, the highlighted bar will move to the next item on the screen that starts with the letter entered. As an example, entering P will move the highlighting to Personnel, Printer, Passwords, Payslip, Print Parameter Selection and then back to Personnel. In this situation, press enter once the correct item is highlighted to select that item |
